KUK & PARFYME

Kuk & Parfyme has previously existed as a film screening series. Spring 2011 they are moving on, now as a fanzine in paperback format.

The aim of Kuk & Parfyme's screening series was to show films that could generate discussion around the topic of film and sexuality. They screened movies in the capricious landscape between queer trash art and political horror, including W.R. Mysteries of the Organism by Dusan Makavejev, The Cockettes by Bill Weber / David Weissman and Sleeping Beauty was a beautiful child by Jytte Rex

Inspired by, among others, Laura Mulvey's essay "Visual pleasures and narrative cinema" Kuk & Parfyme focuses on the gaze in film and video.

Kuk & Parfyme zine wants to explore possibillities for a different view, and discuss attempts on this, and has therefore invited writers, artists and curators to contribute in various ways.

The editors of Kuk & Parfyme zine is Vebjørn Guttormsgaard Møllberg and Ingrid Forland, both educated from the Art Academy in Tromsø.
